Mudvayne Atlanta reviews
Kickin B town ass
Fist of all I hpoe all is well for Zak Wylde. Blood clots in the lungs is got to be bad. Wish he and Black Label could have made it but, maybe another time. The show. Hellsapoppin - these freeks are great. I have seen some of their acts on TV. They are even better live. And better still, you could get up close and personal after the show while their sawin someone in half! Suicide Silence - lots of screamin and heavy sound got the mosh goin and it didn't stop all night. Saw two guys during the show get knocked out cold in the mosh and that started with Suicide Silence. Props to the singer for commin out after the show to meet us little fokes. Static freakin X. Second time I have seen them here in Bakersfield and Wayne and the Waynetts do not dissapoint. Static X is spot on. They ended with Cannibal which is one of my favorites. I hope Static X keeps comming back they have a big following here. I have all their CDs in my iPod. and now I have a live recording of the actual show here as they provided copies for sale on zip drive after the show. Great idea! More Freaks between Static X and Mudvayne. Sword swallowing, Glass eating Hell was poppin. Mudvayne, Chad showed us his softer side wearing what appeared to be and ape suit without the head. And had some heartfelt words to share with us inbetween some of the best performances I have seen from them. Mudvayne is one of the great Metal Bands. They all are at the top level as Musicians. Ryknow has to be one of the best bassist out there now.
All summed up, this was a great show. I only would have liked to see a better light show with the bands.
Good but a letdown due to so many lineup changes
I had tix for 08/28 in San Jose but that show got canceled. Strangely the show in Bakersfield 08/29 was still scheduled. Why did the San Jose show get canceled if it wasnt because Black Label had to withdrawal from the tour? Nevertheless my wife and I bought tix and booked a hotel in Bakersfield, drove the 4 hours from Stockton and made damn sure we didnt miss out. The Statix-X set was entertaining and Mudvayne just always throws down every time. Bury Your Dead did not perform due to travel issues. So a lineup that originally was Suicide Silence, Bury Your Dead, Dope, Static-X, Black Label Society, and Mudvayne turned into Suicide Silent, Static-X and Mudvayne. It didnt feel like Static-X or Mudvayne played unusually long sets to make up for the lineup being so thin. Overall I'm a die hard metal fan and I wanted to see Mudvayne perform so we made it happen however it's a bummer that a tour with such potential ended in a train wreck in terms of the lineup. Betty Bloomers from t he side show was a very pleasant way to kill time between sets, can we have her and just her perform next time please?
Mudvayne was unforgettable and static x first time
I Was going to the Pedal to the Metal consert thinking it would be just ok and came out with an awsome experiance. I was realy wanting to see Mudvayne and Black Lable Society. But Black Lable was unable to show. It was nice going to a consert with a small venue. We had floor tickets so tthat made the experiance even more amazing. We were so close you could almost reach out and touch there hand. Of corse Mudvayne was awsome but that was my first time even herining Static X they killed with there stage presence. Im now in love with there songes. And for you men Hellzapopn was awsome they had bettey bloomers strip. I didnt care for the striping but that was just me other than that they were intertaining. Sucide Scilance i could of done without but still had very good stage presence.
Most fun I've had in a very long time...GREAT SHOW
First off, venue was moved from Mesa AMpitheater to the Marquee Theater!!!! I love shows at the Marquee....very personable, no bad spot...acustics are AMAZING there too...Static-X...I LOVE THEM!! THey sounded just like a CD, but it was live...we got to see them after their set too! Tony even let us get pics with him...they are awesome. Mudvayne was great, the played my fave song from them, (which they did not do last time I saw them), which is "Determined"!!! Rocked!!!!!!!
Suicide Silence I had never seen before, they are great guys, they hung out with us for awhile after the show....it was a wonderful event!
